Do you use disposable/flushable liners in cloth nappies?

I’m trying to find out whether these disposable liners are necessary for cleanup in disposable nappies or just an extra cost. Would love your ideas and feedback

We use cloth to reduce waste so we don’t like to use the liners. We do own some disposable liners — we used some when our baby was briefly very predictable about what time of day he pooped. At home we have a sprayer so it was fine if he pooped in the cloth. But when we traveled or were going out all day, it was nice to catch most of the poop in the liner. I’d hate to use them for every diaper though, since most of them would just be wasted.
Also—they might call themselves flushable but don’t flush them! It’d damage your septic system. Just trash any kind of so-called “flushable” wipes or liners.

Have you heard about the Walmart fleece blankets? A lot of moms buy those ($2.50 each!) then cut them up for liners. If they just pee or you can ‘plop’ the poop off then you can just wash them. If it’s messy you can just toss them.
I started with 2 blankets and I still have plenty of liners for my 19month old. You can also just buy fleece by the yard but it’s more expensive than these blankets.
