Yesterday I got a phone call for my NIPT results and it came back that my baby has a high chance of having trisomy 13. They said they find that when they get these results about half the time it’s true and half the time it’s not true. I have to go in today for cvs for them to take cells from my placenta to confirm if the baby has it or not. It is going to take about 10-14 days to get the results. I’m so devastated especially since I have been waiting for my results since I was going to have my gender reveal this weekend. Has this happened to anyone else? Did your baby actually have a genetic disorder or was it a false positive?? I’m so scared I’m praying that everything will be okay
