There’s a friend of mine (let’s call him J) that I’ve had a huge crush on for the past two years & we’ve always felt super close to each other, however once I told him about my feelings he got turned off. This led to us not talking for a while, but then becoming friends again, so now we’re close, and just recently he asked me to go the movies. I found it very odd because every time I asked him to go somewhere he would turn it down, but now out of the blue he decided to treat me to a movie. This may sound like it’s not too much of a problem, but this is where it gets crazy ! During the period me and him weren’t talking, one of his friends (Lets call him D) started developing feelings for me, but I don’t feel the same way because I have too deep of feelings towards (J). So once me and (J) started talking again he convinced his friend (D) to tell me he likes me, to which I respectfully denied. But this all comes full circle to today, when (J) asked me to go to the movies, but he’s inviting (D) to go with us. I want to turn it down, but a part of me doesn’t, cause I want to go with (J) really bad, this is the first time he’s asked me to go out somewhere with him. But I also don’t want to go because the atmosphere is gonna be super awkward with (D) there, especially cause (D) knows I have deep feelings for (J). What should I say to (J)? Should I go or not go?
