I just wanted to post this for anyone who may be nervous about doing an hsg - I had mine today, took 800mg if ibuprofen an hour beforehand and had no pain. It was a little uncomfortable and the speculum was the worst part, but otherwise it was fine! I was so worried because of things I’ve read about other people’s experiences, but I had nothing to be worried about. I know some women do experience a lot of pain, but I didn’t so try not to stress about it beforehand because you never know.
