Anyone been told has aniscytosis?
My water broke and I gave birth to my daughter at 16 weeks on Friday. She passed away after 51 minutes. I'm waiting for answers. They did so many tests at the hospital including blood cultures during my 3-day stay. I had some kind of infection, which attributed to me having contractions and going into labor early bc I'vehad cyclic fever and chills.
I got woken up to an urgent call from my OB this morning wanting me to see my PCP immediately to run more tests and followup. My OB even called my PCP for me and scheduled the appointment as soon as available. This instantly made my instinctual gut feeling meter sky high.
Some of the blood cultures are coming in and showing aniscytosis (specifically saying my red blood cells were abnormally shaped) and lymphopenia. It also mentioned a pattern that no doctor put together that I've had chronic anemia for almost 2 years. I'm scared bc I wanted answers so badly. I wanted to know what happened that made my baby girl no longer with me. Now that's happening, I think I'm about to find out more than I bargained for. But this is important to know for when we try again to conceive.
