I bought my boyfriend a cute book with all the “things I would do for him” he read it and his response: “it would’ve been cuter if you crossed this out and write this/it would’ve been cute if you personalized it. I like personalized things because I can already buy myself stuff” I said you’re welcome and walked away and he’s still laying on the couch with his phone.

Not gonna lie my feelings are kinda just hurt. No hug. No appreciation.

He also made a point to say that his coworkers wife made him a beer cake and that it had all his favorite things on it and that he likes things like that. I just thought the book was cute idk. It was the first thing I’ve ever bought for him or given to him.
