When is nexplanon effective?

I got the nexplanon implant on August 8th at 8 in the morning and it says that it won’t be effective until 7 days if you did it in the middle of your cycle is that true? It’s been 6 in a half days almost 7 and Me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex today and he did pull out but I just wanna know what the odds are.

The odds are very low, but not totally impossible.
The 7 days  was chosen because it is a safe time period. Most women will be fully protected before the 7 days. Almost all women will be protected by day 7. If they said 5 days and 20% of women was not protected by day 5 yet, it would cause issues, but when they say 7 days, 99.99% of women will be protected and there should not be issues. So I think 6.5 days is fine.
BTW, the same goes for the end. 3 years is the minimum time it will be effective. For most women it will be effective way past that date, but if they say 3 years 6 months and 20% of women get fertile in that extra 6 months, it would be problematic.
