I drink a cup a day. My dr told me it’s perfectly fine. In fact she said as long as I keep it under 5 cups a day it’s fine. 5 cups is a looooot 😂🙌🏼

Thank you 😊 I use to drink vitamin water and for some reason I would produce more milk.

Water all day is amazing. You do realize some breastfeeding moms live on pop and Gatorade lol. You’re doing a great job 🙌🏼👌🏼

I drank coffee when I was nursing- I just tried to follow the same guidelines as when pregnant- under 200/300 mg caffeine

I drink coffee daily & still nurse. My 15 month is perfectly fine! It CAN cause fussiness in babes, but if you’re not having that problem - no reason to stop. Enjoy mama!

It’s not harmful, but I’ve heard that some babies get fussy from it. I have one cup every morning. None of my 4 kids I’ve nursed have had any problems with it.

Amazon sells some good coffee for the different stages of life of motherhood. They sell a decaf, 1/4 caff, 1/2 caff and full caff. It’s low acid and organic made with Swiss water process I believe. And I started with the decaf and worked my way up. I stayed away from caffeine while pregnant just because I had terrible nausea but this mommee coffee from amazon is great. Then after having my son I still couldn’t have coffee because he had bad acid reflux and if I had caffeine it just would make it 10 times worse. But as he got a few months older and better with his reflux then I did start with the 1/4 caff and worked my way up until I got to drinking full caff. I did ask my lactation consultant and she said it was absolutely fine to drink coffee if it didn’t bother the baby.

You can but remember the baby does get the caffeine and they can’t process it very well yet. If I would have any chocolate or coffee my son would be extremely fussy for like 12 hours. It was torture. All kids respond differently.
