Implanon and pill

I’ve had the implanon for about 8 months now and i’m getting my period every 2 weeks, along with bad cramps. Wanting to switch to the pill but scared of any other side effects. Has anyone been on the implanon and pill at the same time and if so did it help the side effects when you came off the pill???
