What birth control are you using while breastfeeding?

I’ve had a rough time with progesterone only pills in the past and did best with estrogen pills. Not sure what I can use while breastfeeding. I’ve been adamant about never taking birth control ever again (lol) but now I’m realizing that’s not an option!
I’m considering the copper iud but all the stories really scare me!

I have the Mirena IUD. I’m five months postpartum (I’ve had it since 6 weeks PP) and my supply hasn’t been impacted at all. My period hasn’t come back yet so I can’t speak to any impact there. Mirena is supposed to make them really light or nonexistent anyway.

I chose the depo shot because I didn’t want an implant or an iud. Once I’m finished breastfeeding I’m going to switch back to the ortho tricyclen pill (unless I can convince my husband to get a vasectomy! Lol).

I’m using the progesterone only mini pill. Most people will say progesterone only is safe for breastfeeding, but it actually can affect the supply in some people.

I had the copper iud for 3 years before this baby. I got it after I was done breastfeeding my first but since it’s non-hormonal, it won’t affect supply. 
I honestly loved it. I experienced the typical side effects which is heavier periods and more cramping but that tapered off to my normal flow and cramps within a few months. I’m getting it again after this baby.

I was told the mini pill the the only abc you can use while breastfeeding. I believe the others will dry you up.
