When should we see doctor about fertility ?

Both of us are in our 20s and been trying for 6 months, my partner had an operation a few years ago and they said it may effect his fertility.
Do you think we should go see one ASAP or wait a few more cycles?

i saw my OB after 5 months of trying after our miscarriage. Don’t wait if you don’t want to. She discovered that i was ovulating too soon & that’s why we weren’t conceiving. I got prescribed stuff and am feeling much better about our chances now.

The facility that did my husband semen analysis didn’t require a dr referral or to even see a dr. We just got the cup from them and returned it then had them mail us the results. My fertility specialist also didn’t require a referral to set up our initial appt and my obgyn had no problem with us seeing a specialist at less than a year she actually gave us recommendations.

Dr won’t see you until it’s been a year of trying. And the OB I work for says she sees the patient after a year of trying with OPKs and/or BBT & no pregnancy. That’s when she’ll refer to fertility specialist... 
You can call your dr and ask for what they do.. Usually under 30 (might be 35) can be seen after 1 year of trying and over is 6 months.
