Membrane sweep?

Any one ever had a membrane sweep done? If so did it work for you? Do you have to be dilated already? I get one done at my appointment next week, I'm already 3cm & 50% effaced. Really hoping it helps get things started..

Got one with my first, I was already 4cm dilated and I went into labor that evening. Definitely hurt! But worth it.

With my second pregnancy I had it done twice, first one did nothing and with the second sweep I went into labor that night.

I had it done with my daughter at 38 weeks having already been a couple cm dilated already. Literally left his office and drove straight to the hospital bc it put me in labor.

I had one done with my son. It was a twinge of pain but mostly uncomfortable for like 5 seconds. I was 4cm when I had it done and gave birth 3 days later. If I get the option to do it at my 38w appointment, I'm doing it

I got one done with my daughter, it was super painful but I went into labour the next day! 
I’ll be getting one done next week for this pregnancy.

I had it done and it didn't do anything for me. Baby was a week late 🤷🏻‍♀️

With my son I had 2 of them. The second one put me in labor and he was born less than 24 hours later. It is uncomfortable.... but I’d say pretty painless compared to the baby coming out 🤣🙈

I went into labor couple hours later. I was 3cm as well

I did with my first a few days before my due date. Went into labor within about a day.
I'll probably do it again this time around when I'm close to my due date.

I had 2 my first pregnancy, first at 37.5 and second at 39.6. The second one put me into labor, I was 2cms and 50% effaced
