Sara

VERY important question you guys. Is it TO-MAY-TO or TO-MAH-TO? Asking for society.

I’m Scottish, so I pronounce it as “To-mah-to”. I moved to New Zealand and they pronounce it the same way here. The only people I’ve heard pronounce it as “to-may-to” are Americans, or someone who learnt americanised English as their 2nd language.

Maybe the po tay to/po tah to line was sissons to be the joke part? I guess in another time it might've been hilarious lol.

Nope. Most people in the UK say 'tom ah to' but not 'po tah to.'

I say to-may-to but my grandfather (born and raised in the deep south) always said tuh-may-tuh. He had one of the strongest accents of anyone I've ever met. I miss it.

To-May-to. To-mah-to just sounds like you’re saying tomato with a British accent

Unless you’re actually from the uk in which case “to-mah-to” is how everyone pronounces it 😳
