Best toothbrush and toothpaste combo?

I have a really hard time whitening my teeth and my friends say I should look into white strips and an electric toothbrush but I don't want to just throw away my money. Any recommendations on tooth brushes and tooth pastes. I feel like the strips are something I should look down the line.

White strips are so bad for your teeth. I was taught to use baking soda to whiten my teeth growing up. But now I just have my dentist do it because my teeth don’t get sensitive after. 
I personally use a Mother’s vault biodegradable toothbrush that’s so much better than regular toothbrushes for the environment. 
And Tom’s of Maine cavity protection toothpaste.

I personally use just any electric toothbrush, the ones I've been getting are called floss tip which I really like.. even though they're terrible for the environment. 
I use toms, hello or dr branners toothpaste. Usually flouride free, and floss frequently. I really like toms mouthwash too.
Hydrogen peroxide, baking soda and coconut oil works like a charm for teeth whitening.

I won’t use the strips because I feel like they’re bad for your enamel. I use an oral b electric toothbrush. The small, round brush head does wonders. You can buy a cheap battery operated one at the grocery store or drug store if you want to try it before buying a slightly pricier one online that is rechargeable. As for toothpaste, I just use Colgate total. You can try that in conjunction with one of the charcoal ones if you want.
