$2000 vacation what would you do?

So I have a budget of $2000 to do a vacation just me and my husband. $2000 includes everything Travel, room, food, activities everything. I am open to all suggestions I’m in Southern California so it can be local or somewhere distant. What would you do?

Best advice from me: spend little money on the room/hotel so that you can have more of an adventure and spend money on activities or sightseeing, adventures together. Looking back, you’re more likely to say “remember that awesome time we had at soandso” versus “remember how nice that hotel room was?”

I’ve never been to Cali but with the budget I would suggest staying more local because flights alone can cost almost $1000 depending on where you want to go. I’d suggest staying in a affordable hotel so you have more money to spend on good food and activities.

I would go to a sandals resort with a butler. The butler makes it amazing!

Groupon used to have some cool escape packages for reasonable rates. I'd check there first..
