Ease my mind, probably a silly question but I’m not thinking straight right now
So I have celiac disease, where I can’t eat wheat, rye, or barley (gluten). So basically any pastas, breads, etc. I don’t do this out of a diet fad, I do this because it literally eats away at my stomach lining causing horrible pain and if over a period of time gets bad enough, could be fatal.
So question, I’m 15 weeks pregnant. Today my husband and I went out to dinner and I am pretty sure my order was not made correctly and contained gluten.
Whenever I eat gluten, I get horrible stomach cramps and awful diarrhea (TMI I’m so sorry). So I pretty much know if I’ve eaten it because I feel miserable for quite a few hours.
Will my baby be harmed in any way if I have ingested gluten? Has anyone gone through a similar situation before and have any insight?
