Okay so...

My SO and I have been together for 8 years, lived together for 6 and have 2 kids together. Im 32 and hes 33. I want to get married, and we have talked several times about it.. always agreeing that we both love each other and want to spend our lives together. But, Time keeps ticking. I love him, but if marriage isn't on the table in rhe near future.. id have to seriously rethink things. I dont want to give an ultimatum, i just want honesty. I find myself resentful for his lack of effort in my eyes, resentful of the peers i see getting hitched. I need to believe that we have the same life goals.. marriage being one of them.

Has anyone ever dealt with this or offer any advice? I dont know if theres a right answer here, id just like to hear other honest perspectives.
