Flat spot/indent?

Does this look like a flat spot on the top of my sons head? He does favor that side when he sleeps. I try to do as much tummy time/holding/switching positions with him as possible but that spot worries me. Its weird because its on the very top of his head. I'm going to bring it up at his appointment but it isnt until next week. Hes only 8 weeks old.

Yes it does. The head is shaped abnormally. Your dr will probably want baby to wear a helmet to reshape it back to normal

How did this turn out? My son has a very similar indent. He’s 12 weeks.

My son had plagiocephaly caused by a stiff neck. He preferred one side over the other. I kept telling my husband and my mom that I thought he had a bit of a flat side on the head and they thought I was crazy. I didn’t listen to them and I call the pedi. I’m so glad I listened to my mommy instinct. The earlier you catch this the faster it will heal. I’m my sons case we had to to exercise for his stiff neck every day. I was also advised to avoid long rides in the car seat, and prolonged time in swings and bouncers. Always follow your instinct momma, you’re doing great! Keep us posted

Yep my girls head was like this from birth now she’s 4 almost 5 months and we are getting our helmet on the 27th

Rub his head all the time that’s what I had to do with my first born when her head was shaping funny because of how she slept. Rub rub rub it will go back to normal if u do
