No rude comments please I’m doing the best I can.

My 2 1/2 year old is always running away from me, like example is I took her to my dr appointment and I was filling out paper work and she was playing next thing I know she’s running the halls of the hospital and I’m 30 weeks pregnant so I can’t move as fast as her. But any chance she gets she runs from me and her dad. She knows to hold my hand when she’s walking. I’m not sure why she does this like maybe it’s a game for her. I always keep an eye on her but she’s a lot faster than me. Anyone else’s kid do this. I’ve tried to calmly explain to her why she can’t be running away and that didn’t work so I tired to spank her and that doesn’t work. Any other methods I could try?
