Hey guys, I can’t get into my doctor’s office for a bit (yay military...), but I was wondering if anyone else developed ovarian cysts after having their IUD put in?

I’ve had my Kyleena IUD for just about 2 years, and every month around ovulation time (mid cycle) and on my period, I get horrible pelvic pain that has caused me to pass out and makes me nauseous from how bad the pain is. the spasms or whatever they could be called generally last about 30-60 seconds at a time (I know, doesn’t seem bad, but when it’s every hour or so having 8/10 pain for a whole minute, it’s killer). I’m almost positive it’s due to cysts.

Has anyone had this pain as well? If so, any suggestions for how to make it stop? If you’ve had your IUD removed, did removal stop the pains? I’m honestly considering having it removed because of this, but I’m worried that even getting it out won’t help. 😭
