My Shaving Cluster F*** 😂🚿

This is long, but in my opinion, hilarious😂I’m posting anonymously because, well, it’s a pube shaving story.

So, I’ve shaved absolutely everything down there a handful of times in my life (mostly early 20s), other than that I’ve been totally content trimming and shaping myself and my husband’s complimented my “skills” (goodness, just typing this out is ridiculous, but I have to share😆).

This is my second kiddo and with my first I was all about labor prep, buying my own labor gown, all the superfluous stuff I “knew” would make me confident in the moment.

This included attempting my 3rd EVER Brazilian. I was warned the pain would be crazy, but I thought I was tough, I guess. I was 32 weeks and thought, “Well I’ll need to go at least twice and that way I’ll be smooth whenever labor does happen”.

It was soooo much worse than when I did it prior (not pregnant). I had the tech stop in the middle, shave to make things “even” and I waddled my vulva out of there. Mind you, at that time I was an L&D RN and retrospectively, I probably should have known better.

I wasn’t delivering at the hospital I worked at because I have my husband’s insurance and the midwifery group I went to did not have privileges there. So I convinced myself I was okay with however I ended up looking down there, especially since it wasn’t my crew.

Let me tell you, I was able to give birth without any pain meds and that Brazilian was still was more excruciating!

Flash forward to my current pregnancy and although I’m no longer an L&D RN and I realize how much those extra ideas weren’t necessary (for me personally), I’m at this pubic hair dilemma situation again!

This time I will be delivering with my old L&D crew of friends and acquaintances (my midwives switched groups and now can ONLY deliver at my hospital).

While contemplating this (admittedly a little too much) I thought, well maybe I can just start shaving bare again. Less pain, less expensive, and the hubs will DEFINITELY be surprised.

Welp, I just got out of the most hilarious shower of my life that included my 34 week self, a mirror, and my usual razor😆 I somehow got the job done, but attempting to hold a mirror with my preggo feet whilst shaving in reverse had to be a ridiculous sight!
