Do you let your son/daughter play w theirselves?

I was babysitting a 3 year old and a little while after his grandma got here, she noticed his hand down his underwear grabbing around so she made him take it out and stop.. 
I seen a post on here one time that they had told their kid to do that in private and I thought it was super weird but I've never really thought ab it. Do you let your kids "explore their body" in private. Or do you try to make them not?

You can't control what they do in private.
 If my kid was doing stuff and old enough to understand commands I would just tell them that's not something you do with other people around.

My little boy grabs at his penis, he’s 1 and 2 months. But when he does it we’ve noticed it’s because he wants to go potty. It is completely normal for your kids to explore themselves though. Almost all therapist will tell you this and doctors. 
My littlest sister constantly was touching herself and all 3 doctors agreed it was normal due to her age she was 4yrs old. An her therapist said its part of child development and it’s how they learn about their body and it’s functions.

My daughter is 13 months old and the only thing she does for some odd reason is point at her nipples. Probably because I am pregnant and mine leak a little and she has been curious so I let her see and showed her that they are boobs with nipples and theyre for feeding her brother when he comes. Now she points out mine, daddys and her nipples. 😂😂 I think its confusion because she also pointed at hubby's belly last night and said "bruder" which is how she says brother. I had to pull my belly out and show her he stays in there. Kids explore their bodies. Theyll get curious. Shaming them for exploring is not ok. You should explain what's ok and whats not and that its not appropriate to do some things in public. I dont let my kid grab her vagina but she hasnt tried. When she does I will explain to her what it is and that if she is curious there is a time and place. I will also be watching for signs to know its a natural curiosity and not a learnt thing. I am not too sure about my husband's nieces and nephews as they have an uncle that's a convicted sex offender.

Not out in public and not constantly. Only when it’s at home and it’s not so much “playing with them selves” it’s more of touch here and there.

Depends how old... I would worry if they’re too young they won’t understand the difference between doing it in private vs public.
