Had my baby boy

Shalicia

I can’t believe it’s over! I was scheduled to be induced on July 29th at 3pm but he had other plans. I went into labor on my own in the wee early hours of the morning. I was contracting, but irregular. It wasn’t until 4a.m. that I was in pain and realized it maybe time and I needed to snap out of it. I got up and ate something and walked around. My husband woke up to me sitting on the toilet crying at 6 a.m. in pain. Said he’d call his mother to give us a ride. By this time, I was a solid 3:28 apart, no shake. We weren’t going to make it. I called the squad l. Now my entire household is going nuts and my other step/kids are up and my husband is panicking, and I’m standing outside with the door wide open still crying with my nose running and my kids are looking at me confused. (I can laugh now) 😂 the squad found my area, but not my door. We were chasing each other around the building until i just waited by the ambulance for them to come for me. They take me to riverside and they are so awesome. The team was so nice and timed my contractions all the way there. They were nurses waiting on me. I still was in excruciating pain. I couldn’t move, just cry. My husband was stuck in traffic with my kids and mother in law now. A nurse saw the obvious and just changed me out of my clothes, and checked my cervix. 8cm. I call my husband and now everyone is losing it. I was still able to get an epidural thanks to the speedy team!!!! Then 9:28a.m our loving son came into the world. I didn’t imagine labor that way.

I never breastfed before and was skeptical, but I’ve made it exclusively for almost 3 weeks today. I’m proud of myself. I am open for any questions ladies may have. Thanks for reading.
