When is my due date?

So I used a due date calculator (havent had my first ob appointment yet) and I got 2 different due dates depending on my average cycle length. The "norm" 28 days gives me april 19th and my latest cycle length, 35 days, gives me April 26th. Does the cycle length matter? Can someone explain? Thanks!

You’ll get a better date at your ultrasound. That’s what you’ll go by! It really just goes off of the week from your first day of your last period

Your doctor will go by your last period until an ultrasound. That being said, I KNOW I ovulated on cd21, which is a full week late. So, yea as of now, my doc says I’m 8 weeks, but I know I’m only 7 weeks. I know they will adjust it when we get to the ultrasound. 
So, yes your cycle length matters, because you won’t be as far along as you would be if you’re going by your period. For what its worth, I’ve been calculating my due date based on the date of conception (ovulation) instead of my period for my own purposes.

Yes cycle length does change it. I’d say 26th for now until you get the ultrasound.

Just use a calculator where you put in the first day of your last period and go by that until your first ultrasound. They may or may not adjust the date then

My cycle start dates of April 12 gave me EDD of 1/17, but instead of ovulating on day 14 I was a week late and ovulated on day 21. So my due date via ultrasound was 1/22. Your OB will adjust based on baby’s measurements
