Okay so yesterday August 15 i had jury duty and i didn't go because my mom was getting discharged from the hospital on that day and i had to pick her up. I understand that jury duty is a big deal and it can result in paying a fine or going to jail and my mom says that they will just give me another day but my brother and sister thinks im going to jail and im freaking out because i had to help my mom and i was thinking if i bring her papers to the court and explain the situation they will give me another day i just am worried i might get arrested please help

Update: i went to the court office and they just rescheduled it for January
