Can’t fit anything *down there*

I don’t know if I’m just undereducated or paranoid and was hoping y’all could help me out.

I am constantly shamed by my little sister and mom for not using tampons and instead favoring pads, but it’s because I don’t understand how anyone can fit anything down there if it looks anything like mine. I’ll be lucky if I fit a grain of rice down there. And they say you should insert tampons at a 90 degree angle and I just don’t understand how you could do that because the hole in downward facing. My periods are fine, I don’t have any pain, but I just can’t fathom how it’s supposed to work and I am WAAAY to embarrassed to have anyone show me how to do it.

I don’t know if my hymen is just really tight cause I’m a virgin or if I have any serious health issues, but I want to know your take on it.
