Pregnant or something else???

My one year wedding anniversary is coming up in October. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant since the wedding night lol 😜. My period is 8 days late. I took a pregnancy test this morning but it was negative 😔 Is there still a chance I could be pregnant or could something be wrong? Help and prayers please
