So me and this guy are really close, like we’re really really good friends but not quite bestfriends, it’s kind of more a romantic tension friendship sort of thing....

He’s my ex basically, we dated for seven months when we were 14 and then we broke up, it still acted as though we were together, and then we had sex one last time and agreed to stay friends... then we went through a phase of hating each other, and then two years later we’re now really good friends and hang out together all of the time but we’ve never kissed or anything since breaking up.

We were chilling out in his bed and he sat up and looked at me and just said “am I imagining this or is there a tonne of tension right now?” And I was like “no you’re right” and I kind of got up and moved to the other side of the bed because like I didn’t want us to do anything and then have things get complicated...

this was months ago, bare in mind we’re still really close friends... he came over to mine the other day with his friend and he accidentally left his wallet at mine so I got a bus and took it to him the following week, I was meant to just pop in and give it to him but his mum invited me in and I started talking to his stepdad cause we get on really well, and then his mum says that we should go out and take the dog for a walk together and he says yeah that’s a good idea ... bare in mind I wasn’t supposed to be staying I was just dropping something off.... so we went on the dog walk together and had a joke and a laugh, and then he started talking about this other girl he thought he liked a little bit (which I was cool with, I don’t really have feelings for him) and we were talking about that ... then we get back to his and he invites me up to his room and I’m like no I’ve got to get going ..

Fast forward to this week he’s been on holiday and he asked me to get this game so I could play it with him.. usually we don’t text too much but we’ve messaged every day he’s been away and he keeps bringing up things from when we were together, like funny things that happened and also some sexual things that happened, he FaceTimed me and told me he spoke to his dad about me about there being sexual tension between us, and how he thought I was going to break things off with a guy I was talking to (idk why he’d talk to his dad about that?) and stuff and in general always tried to keep the conversation going if what I said was a bit dead....

I’m just freaking out a bit because it seems like maybe he likes me a bit??? I don’t really know and I’m not sure I want him to because it would really complicate things... but does this sound like he might like me a little? I’m so clouded like vision wise when it comes to him that I really don’t know ...

Does it sound like he does? Or am I just being hopeful/paranoid

TL:DR — my ex from two years ago who I’m best friends with has been messaging me more than usual like every day, bringing up the past things that happened in our relationship, spoke to his dad about there being sexual tension and he thought I was going to break things off with a guy I was talking to, and keeps the convo going even if what I said was dead , did it sound like he likes me or am I being paranoid because I don’t want him to?
