Out of state calling doc?

Can my doctor call in a prescription for me if I currently out of state??

Yes they can, as long as it’s not a controlled substance — that’d be your biggest issue.  As long as your insurance isn’t Medicaid, that only works in the state you live in.

I wrote no... but that’s based on my experience. If it’s a controlled substance, you may not be able to. I was in Hawaii on my honeymoon and went to fill a script for adderall and was declined. I had to go to a walk in and have my scripts ready-written ($250 later 🙄)... best of luck!

They're license isn't covered in other states so no.

Well from my experience they don’t call in anything unless you are there to get a diagnosis, now if it’s a refill, that may be a different story.
