This is on my cousin. Trying to figure out is it irritated, infected, or healing weirdly? These pictures were taken only THREE days apart!! The first picture was takin on 8/13 and today is 8/16. I’m no doctor but will be taking her to the doctor Monday.

It’s fine it’s healing. This has happened to me every time I’ve burned myself. It’ll scab over soon. Keep a bandaid on it.

Is that a burn? If so when my sister got burned they had to peel the dead skin away so new skin could grow. I think you need to take her ASAP

There is no sign of infection there. It's healing quite nicely. It looks like a burn and this type of healing is very consistent with a burn. Don't wrap it, let it breathe. Cleaning it gently with warm water but, no soap then in 2 more days start putting neosporin on it. I've had a shit ton of burns in my life and although the healing looks scary as all get out, it's going according to plan and looking quite healthy. She may have a nasty scar for awhile but, it should shrink over the next couple years. If it's second degree and painful then, get some burn cream but, from this photo, it looks first degree. Idk if that’s a burn or a scab but I got a terrible sunburn on my chest that looked exactly like that and all I did was keep it as clean as possible and put baby powder on it once every day. Like half an hour after baby powder I’d put coconut oil and after about 2 weeks it was gone. I cried so hard thinking it was skin cancer but it disappeared and all that is left is a 2 inch scar on my chest. It doesn’t even have any texture difference from the rest of my skin but it is white and unpigmented now. I do wish that it had gone away completely but I’ll take having a scar over skin cancer any day 🤷🏼‍♀️. I wouldn’t worry about it that much but I do also think it’s a good idea to see a doctor just in case. Good luck!
