Shooting a gun?

Question

Is it ok to go to the shooting range with my hubs tomorrow or could it hurt baby? I probably won’t be shooting. I’m 34 weeks pregnant

My BIL is from Wyoming and my sister has shot guns while pregnant. Nothing is wrong with her kids hearing. They’re very very protected in there, and the sounds they hear in the womb are already about as loud as a vacuum. I wouldn’t stand close to him if it were me. Not a fetus ear expert lol just experience.

I was told mostly no to shooting especially in the 3rd trimester. It was an absolute no to indoor range and even at the outdoor range if there were bigger caliber guns or shot guns it was a no. Baby's hearing is fully developed and though they are protected, it's not worth the risk of causing damage to the hearing.

It will probably startle the baby but unless there's an accident, it won't hurt them. I'm 31 weeks and someone dropped a metal tray in the cafeteria last week. I could feel the baby jump in me but he checked out just fine 2 days ago at my OB follow up.

The gun range almost certainly wont allow you on the range, youre a HUGE liability. A gun shot is above the decimal that has been said to be detrimental to the baby (plus the lead exposure), but I dont think theres been concrete studies on it.

No not allowed to. I wanted to get my license and said if i was pregnant i wasnt allowed to do the hands on part shooting wise.. i wouldnt but thats me
