Hey ladies! Let’s start with I had my last child 3 years ago, following the birth I got a tubal ligation. Fast forward to three months ago while at the doctors for a Pap, I brought up my awful periods.

After my tubal ligation my periods are longer, heavier, and the pain associated with them is horrendous. My mood swings start about a week or so before my period comes. I break out a bit, mood swings like crazy, intense cravings, bloated, I gain 5 pounds of water weight. 🤦🏻‍♀️

First day of period I go through up to 3 pads in 2 hours.... filled the full length of the pad. The cramps are so intense I feel like I’m going to vomit. They literally make me shake and curl in a ball.

My doctor put me on Camrese Lo (it’s a hormone birth control!) since my hormones are out of wack. These are a mix of estrogen and progestin for the first 87 days and then 7 days of just estrogen pills for my “period week”.

Been taking them for about two weeks now and noticed an almost immediate change with behavior. It made my period longer, and the blood went from the dark red like normal to a grayish red color. I went a week with out any bleeding, then bam the last few days I’ve been spotting. This morning I noticed I was cramping, but not as bad as I usually do.... I started my second period. I just had one two weeks ago. I was told to expect break through bleeding and spotting but not another period! 😫

Has anyone taking this or have had any experience like this on hormone based birth control?
