Baby wont sleep during the day

2 month old is so miserable by the end of the day cause he fights sleep all day. I try to watch his awake times, try to put him down within an hour of being awake. He even fights sleep when I'm holding him. He probably gets an average of 13 hours of sleep in 24 hours. When he falls asleep, he only sleeps for 10-30 minutes most of the time. He sleeps ok at night, waking up 2-3 times. Anyone else deal with this? I feel terrible cause hes so miserable by the end of the day and I feel like it's my fault cause I cant get him to sleep.
