bottle warmer?

has anyone heated up a formula bottle with a bottle warmer? is it safe enough to where it kills any bacteria in the water?? And if so, do you have to heat up the water first in the warmer then add the formula or can you add cold water with formula then heat it up together? (sorry if stupid question i clearly have no idea what i’m doing😅)

I never bothered warming bottles. Mine took room temperature just fine

To kill bacteria in the water you have to boil it. A bottle warmer won’t get that hot.

I found bottle warmers take so much longer. I just microwave a mug of water and  use that

I've never used warm water for bottles, I'm pregnant with number 4 now. Even my last was fed breast milk from the fridge not heated and he liked it just fine. My sister got my nephew used to warm formula and it was miserable when we would go somewhere that she/ we couldn't heat up a bottle😟. I used bottles of water in the diaper bag when we were out and about. They're good for keeping next to your bed too so you don't have to get up to make a bottle😁

There are a couple different types of bottle warmers, some have it where you fill it with water and the water gets hot and warms the formula and some steam the formula. which after using both I prefer the steam. 
Also, when mixing formula use distilled baby water. I bought mine at the local grocery store by the gallon. It’s perfectly safe to use.

You can use cold or room temp water. Hot water would be pointless because the bottle warmer makes bottles hot.
