Ladies, this is my first pregnancy. I’m with a great doctor, 16 weeks currently. There is a good chance that we will be moving though around November, so I will be pretty far along, and my current doctor will be 1.5hr away. Would you risk that distance and stay with a doctor that far away? They told me they had pts do both. And that first labor usually doesn’t progress fast so I would most likely have enough time. But idk if I want that kind of stress. But on the other hand I don’t want to look for a new MD that far along, I also can’t seem to find great providers in the area we will be moving to.

For those of you who had kids already, how long did your first labor take? And how far was your hospital?
