Dark Brown/Black spotting????

Question

Has anyone experience this before a period actually started? I heard it's old blood before an actual period starts. Or early sign of pregnancy
Just checking to see if anyone did have a period after this, or found out if they were pregnant?

It's not that rare actually.  I think half of my friends who got pregnant had implantation spotting! I did with my first at around 10 dpo.

Implantation bleeding is actually very rare. But if it does occur, it can do so as late as 12 dpo normally. So if it’s past 12 dpo, then prior to your period you can have brown - old blood - before a red flow begins.
