Ohhh I've never been the one that do it.
But I looooooove anal and I can tell you some basics things from my perspective and experience. 
-lube, lots of lube. It is never enough lube. It will be way easier and will be way more pleasurable.
-once you have your gallon of lube you will want to be gentle and start slowly, Start away from the zone. Stimulate his body, touch him a lot, massage him, touch his cheeks, and when you get to the butt area don't DON'T stick a finger just immediately. 
- start with a little pressure in his anus, with lube. Caresses it and try tu push your finger, a little bit.
