Baby shower for second baby?

My MIL and my mother are throwing me a second baby shower, my first is now 5 & they are different genders. And this is also my husbands first child so he is excited! 
I didn’t even realize it was “tacky” to have another shower lol what do you all think? 
My first shower was rather small. This second one we are doing it at a beautiful facility & we will definitely be spoiling our guests with very nice catering & drinks! 
I’m curious on opinions!

Who says it’s “tacky”? I’ve never heard that. I always thought you could have a shower for every baby you have. People love buying baby stuff

It’s fine! I think that people tend to get a little fussy about large-scale back to back baby showers when you have children in quick succession and they are the same sex. This has been 5 years, and it sounds like a great opportunity to just celebrate with others. I wouldn’t stress to much about this. Register for small things if that makes you more comfortable. People who don’t want to participate don’t have to!

I say to for it and have fun! I'm having a 30th birthday combined with a baby sprinkle for my second baby and it will be born 18 months after my little girl was born. I'm not asking for baby gifts though, just want to have fun gender guessing games and a baby stats betting pool. Oh, and celebrate my birthday :-)
