Getting induced today! Advice needed! Pregnant after 4.5 yrs of infertility!
I’ve been in the hospital since Thursday afternoon! I have gestational diabetes and developed gestational hypertension which turned into preeclampsia and I tested positive for strep B, so I’ll be on antibiotics for that during labor. My BP has been so much better since I’ve been in the hospital on strict bedrest, except for today. It’s went up here and there since I’ve been here but not near as high as it was before being admitted and out on strict bedrest. Today the reality kicked in that they are going to start the induction process late tonight and I am full of anxiety! I barely slept any and have a bad migraine, and of course in return my BP has shot up! I can’t get myself to calm down and idk what to do! 😩 I told the nurse and she’s going to talk to the doctor and see what they can give me. I literally feel sick just thinking about it! I’m so ready to just start the process! But they want to wait until tomorrow when I’m officially 37 weeks. So midnight tonight basically! I’ve heard all the horror stories about pitocin and about inductions leading to C-section which is exactly what I’m trying to avoid! If you have any advice or positive induction stories where it didn’t end up in a C-section please share!
