How Important Is Primer?

Okay so your girl here has pretty minimal knowledge when it comes to all things considered 'girly'. I've come a long way when it comes to makeup, and recently I've even been using setting spray (which I hear is amazing) and noticed a spray primer (wet and wild, rose primer 2 in 1 or something along those lines) and it got me thinking... Well shit I've never used that. Should I? I hate when makeup turns out cakey and I'm afraid the more I put on the closer to that line I get. Help a girl out! Thanks in advance!

I find with the right primer my skin looks way smoother and you can see less of my pores and less Cakey. I’ve never seen a spray primer but I use the regular ones

I never noticed a difference with primer for foundation. Eyeshadow primer is a game-changer though. My eyeshadow used to crease within a couple hours, and when I found a cheap, good primer and it lasts all day now

Lately my prego face has been breaking out like crazy so I’ve been using allllll the makeup, but I don’t mind having pores show lol so normally I use a little foundation mostly as cover-up and then do my eyebrows and lashes and that’s it. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I dislike primer, just make sure your skin is exfoliated, clean and you use a nice face cream and under eye cream before your foundation

For me, primer with a proper face of makeup is a must. If I’m just keeping it natural with nothing but a powder for the shine, then I don’t use it but 
I have such wide pores on my cheeks that if I’m doing a full face then I neeeddddd a primer otherwise it’ll all sink into my pores during the day and not be smooth anymore

After I started exfoliating my skin every day I noticed a big difference with my makeup! Primer doesn’t matter much
