Answer please!

So im a perfect user but yesterday I took my pill 40 mins late last night. I’m on the combined pill btw. This morning I woke up to slight brown old blood and it has progressed to red throughout today. Is this normal? I’ve been on it for 8 months. Is this just happening because of me being 40 mins late?
