I don’t know where to start... so my Boyfriend and I have been together for about 19 months now and we have a little boy who is currently 6 month old. Everything was pretty perfect until 2 months ago. We were in Germany visiting my family when he decided to tell me he has another son who will be 1 year old next month. He told me that his ex girlfriend got pregnant right around the time where he wanted to break up with her and at around the same time where he met me. He told me he first didn’t believe her and that she is just telling him this so he would stay with her. After he found out she was actually pregnant he told her he wants nothing to do with her or the child but after the baby was born he started paying child support but still didn’t want anything to do with his son. He was scared to tell me because he didn’t want to ruin the start of our relationship and later on he was just afraid I would leave him and go back to Germany.

lt was a huge shock for me and I didn’t know what to think. I told him what he has done was not right and that his other son deserves a father like our son does. After a few weeks later he contacted his ex and they arranged a meetup.

Fast forward to yesterday where my boyfriend and his ex arranged another meetup for him to see his son. I decided to go as well because I thought it’s important for the two children to meet as well since they are half brothers.

But seeing my boyfriend being a father to someone else just hurts. Seeing him laugh and play with his other son just made me want to cry and I genuinely don’t know why I‘m feeling this way. Especially because I wanted him to be a father to his other son. Now I‘m just scared that I‘ll never be okay with this situation. I genuinely don’t know what to do at the moment. Has anyone gone through a similar situation and how did it end?
