What does your 1 year old naps look like?

So according to the wonder week’s app my almost 1-year old is in leap 8, and it’s terrible😭 I can’t get him to nap anywhere! Before this leap he would fall asleep on me and then I would transfer him to his cot, or he would aometimes take his naps in the buggy or sling if we were out for a stroll. Now he is just fighting his naps and won’t go down anywhere. I remember my other kid dropped his 2nd nap around 14 months, but then he did one long nap everyday (3 hrs). This little guy will not nap for me at all at the moment, is it just a phase?

Following mine is fighting sleep too! Just started on Tuesday and he was taking two good naps a day falling asleep in his crib by himself since five months old. I’m not sure if he’s trying to tell me he’s ready for one nap or not but he does look like possibly teething. But we haven’t had any issues with naps and teething before 🤷🏻‍♀️

My daughter is usually tired and ready for her morning nap, around 2 hours after waking up.
Afternoon nap can sometimes be a challenge. She goes in her crib at 330 and stays there till 5! She can sleep, play, cry... but shes staying there and shes pretty much figured it out.
If shes just whining crying I leave here, if shes really upset crying I go in every few minutes, lay her back down, give her the pacifier and leave.

My baby turns 1 tomorrow and I'm pretty much in the same spot. When she does fall asleep its literally for 10 minutes and then back at it for the rest of the day.

Our daughter had refused to sleep anywhere but her crib or packnplay since 9 months. She was still taking 2 naps a day until about 2 weeks ago. The first week she started napping 11-12:30 and going to bed an hour earlier. We kept pushing it 15 minutes until we got to a nap starting at noon and ending between 2 and 3. So now she sleeps 7pm-7am and naps 12-2/3. She has had a couple days where she needed 2 naps but I assume that is all part of the transition.

My daughter has severe FOMO and absolutely will not nap anywhere except her own bed or the car seat. (This has been the case for about 7 months.) If we were home, she used to always give me 2 really good naps (2-3 hours total), but for the last 2 months it’s been two 30 min naps. I tried switching her to one nap hoping it’d be longer, but nope, the one nap was still only 30 min. I thought it was leap-relates but here we are 2 months later and still only napping 30 min twice at home. I’d thought I’d share our experience with that but I hope this won’t be the case for your LO!

I’ve Never we scheduled naps as that just doesn’t work for our family but naturally he has gotten into his own routine of waking around 6/630, napping at 10 for an hour then napping around 2/230 for an hour then bed at 7. Sometimes the naps run longer or shorter but I’m sure in the next few months he’ll switch to one nap around noon for a bit longer.

My baby was fighting her naps for a couple of weeks too, but it turned out to be teething. Tooth #9 is right under the surface but is taking forever to erupt. :(
