Baby Names???

Question

I’m currently 15 weeks and 1 day pregnant. I just recently found out I’m having a little boy. My SO and I are trying to come up with names. He’s being stubborn and pretty set on having a junior. How do you feel about juniors??? Also can you drop boy names that start with a K? Thanks!

I was not for a junior! We used hubbys name as our sons middle name and that was our compromise!

I had the same thing with my husband. The way we found middle ground was to name our son with his middle name, which I really like, and he choose the middle name from a short list of 5 options I gave him.

I don't like juniors. I feel it puts pressure on a child to live in someone else's shoes; I have heard juniors joke that their parents were too lazy to even think of a name so I got someone else's; I feel my child should be unique enough to have their own name... lastly I don't like my partners name 😂 he wanted a 3rd not a junior and I straight up said I hate your name (hormones are a trip). He called his mom and she agreed with me 😂. My partner also didn't like his father too much, he was an alcoholic and uninvolved until he was a teen and even then it was a bad relationship... so continuing his father's legacy made no sense to me.

Our son has fathers first name as his middle. Which is a family tradition on both sides. 
On my side there’s also a tradition of first sons’ first name are of the paternal grandpa and middle name for the father. And it turns out both his grandpas have the name George. One grandpa is George and the other is Leon George.  On both sides there’s also a lot of George’s since all the naming traditions. So we used grandpas’name George for his first name. 
So grandpas’ name is first name and dads name is middle.

My husband wanted a Juniour but I vetoed it.
I felt like my son needed his own name so we settled on Theodore 
Our son is the 4th generation to have Seaforth as the middle name.

My son is a Fifth (V). I had a hard time accepting that we couldn’t pick his name but then we decided to choose a different middle name and call him by that. III and IV have different middle names already. It made me feel so much better about it all and love that we can carry on the legacy!
