Before and After Three year’s Later!

Makayla

So I was diagnosed with a panic disorder my sophomore year of highschool (2015-2016) but I was not allowed to go on medication for it and I only saw a therapist one time. I struggled super hard with it. I missed most of my classes because I was consistently in the counselor’s office crying and shaking and struggling to breathe normally. I had heart palpitations and lightheadedness, I had acid reflux really bad, and I would go a week or two with not being able to eat hardly (I would have to force myself to eat food). I got pretty thin, and became obsessed with it. I was 115 pounds at 5’4” my BMI was borderline underweight. I passed out twice and almost passed out two other times during this time. But I became self conscious of my weight and wanted to stay thin, I guess it was the only thing I could control in my life, and I worked out and moderated what I ate and how much I ate and this became unhealthy; clearly.

My senior year of highschool I took a dance and movement class where I ended up weight 125-130 pounds in mostly muscle.

It wasn’t until after my senior year, when I was given the Depo Vera shot and went to college, that I began to gain weight. I was depressed and just slept all day for a solid month at college, but I also was constantly hungry and munching on food. I quickly gained weight and ended up weighing 140 lbs. However, I did get off the shot because it gave me some serious issues with pain and constant bleeding.

Currently, I weigh 145 lbs. I haven’t worked out as much as I would like to in order to stay fit and toned but I love how healthy my body is. NO MORE heart palpitations, NO MORE feelings of lightheadedness, NO MORE panic attacks, NO MORE self dread, NO MORE acid reflux, NO MORE struggles of eating. I am happy with myself for once and I feel good finally!
