Looking for some feedback from mamas with more than one child and vehicle.

My first is 3yrs old now and we completely skipped the infant seat with her, we used a Graco MyRide 65 from day one in our Jeep Grand Cherokee, which was our only vehicle at the time. She was born in August and I baby-wore constantly and it just worked out very well.

Now we have a second vehicle, a Honda Civic, and a Cosco MightyFit 65 for my 3yr old in there. I’ve also switched her to a Cosco Finale 2-1 booster seat in the Jeep. She currently rides in the middle seat in both vehicles.

My dilemma is this:

Should I get an infant seat with an additional base which I would put behind the passenger seat (And end up having to buy a new car seat in a year when baby outgrows it.)

OR

reuse my Graco in the Jeep and buy another Cosco MightyFit 65 for the Honda, in which case both convertible seats would go in the middle seat and my 3yr old would be moved behind the passenger seat.

Baby is due Jan 16th and it does get cold and sometimes snow in my area.

Help! What are other mamas doing?!
