Adenomas?

Question

So my prolactin has been elevated lately and I am not pregnant or breast-feeding so that hormone should not be elevated. I’ve had two blood tests before and after a cycle and both came back with abnormal levels. The doctors think that I could have a tumor in my pituitary gland producing extra of this hormone. And in turn that is causing me to struggle with infertility. Has anyone else had this kind of issue? Do you have any insight or advice?

I was diagnosed with a micro adenoma at 19. I'm 29 now and have one healthy 6 year old and am currently 25 weeks pregnant with my second child. I haven't had any issues with infertility or miscarriage myself but my adenoma was small enough to only cause small leakages from my breasts intermittently. This is just me though, I dont really have any other insight other than I was able to conceive ok with a small adenoma on my pituitary as well. The extra prolactin I was giving off though did really help with milk production when I breastfed my first exclusively for her first two years. Sorry I'm not more helpful 😥

I'm kind of dealing with the same thing right now. I had elevated prolactin levels and other hormones were inconsistant with each other. After monitoring my hormones for a couple months my prolactin just kept going up. I was leaking a little but just barely and not all the time. The last time they tested it before doing an MRI it was 39.8. The MRI showed that I do have a small tumor on my pituitary gland. After that we met with a reproductive endocrinologist and got prescribed Cabergoline. I've been taking it for about 3 months and they check my prolactin levels to make sure it's working right. I'm not sure when we can start trying again but that's not my only problem. I also have a marker for a blood disorder so we're not sure what has caused our problems exactly. I do know that the next time we get pregnant I am going to be considered high risk as I've had 5 miscarriages and no successful pregnancies yet. The biggest problem is they're not sure if it's the anti-phospholipid syndrome, high testosterone, low vitamin d, or the tumor that's caused our problems.
