So I'm going on a cruise in a little over a month. I normally shave down there but I was thinking of making an appointment for a few days before we leave and going to get a wax instead. I was thinking it would look a little nicer than shaving and I've heard the hair doesn't grow back as fast so I won't have worry about shaving there while we're on the ship.

How long should I go without shaving before the appointment? I've heard it's expensive so I didn't want to get it done before then, but do you think it would be beneficial to get it done this month so I have an idea of what it's like? What's everyone's general experience with it?
