How much was your HSG test?
Did you have insurance or not?
What area / state are you in?
My doctors office quoted $450 without insurance cash paid in full and I thought I’d be able to afford it but can’t and am super bummed about it. I’d love to hear your experiences please and thank you

It’s so frustrating to see people have to pay for things like this , I couldn’t imagine going through infertility ( which I have ) and also have to pay to get help , hope you all the best , I had my hsg done and got pregnant two weeks after so good luck . I’m from Canada so no payment for me luckily because I probably could not afford it

I’m getting ready to schedule my HSG. We met with financial at the hospital today. My insurance estimate is over $1600. The hospital price is $909. If we pay in cash the day of, its $318. Needless to say, we are planning to pay cash and save a TON.

I have Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield and they dont cover anything that is related to infertility. 
I had my hsg test done last year and it cost me $1200. Test came back normal. I'm still not pregnant after doing 2 rounds of iui (which are also $1200/ cycl). Ridiculous how much these kinds of things cost. Now just trying to pay everything off so I can figure out what the next step is.
I also live in Louisiana which is not a fertility coverage mandatory state.

Mine was $1200 and that was cash price because my insurance didn’t cover it.  I’d say go for it at $450–sounds like a really decent deal!

I paid 350 (4 years ago) and I had great insurance but it didn’t cover it 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️. I don’t understand why almost non of the fertility related treatments or tests are covered.

Massachusetts requires that insurance covers fertility treatments. So far I’ve paid $290 in medications and around $60 in copays for HSG, HSC, and everything else. I was told that one cycle of IVF (just the retrieval and fertilization part) would be $10,000 without insurance. 
Right now I’m post egg retrieval and pre egg transfer. 
I hear you can talk to the clinic about financial assistance. It’s not fair that it’s so expensive.

I have a high deductible plan, so I had to pay $1100 since I hadn’t met my deductible for the year. $450 is a steal (but still expensive). I’m in Ohio.

I have empire blue cross blue shield and it cost $35. It was a covered procedure so it went by my deductible and coinsurance.
My hysteroscopy on the other hand cost $750. It is not covered and the insurance provided "discounts" instead of me paying what my coinsurance would be. The full cost would have been $2500.
