Reflux and Zantac

My 4 week old has been on Zantac twice per day for a couple of weeks now. I recently had to take her to an ear/nose/throat doctor for a breathing issue she has. When he asked what her dosage is for Zantac I told him .7 twice a day. He immediately started shaking his head and sighed. Then he told me he doesn’t understand why pediatricians do this. Baby’s digestion works very fast so twice a day doesn’t help. He said it needs to be broken up into smaller doses 3 or 4 times a day depending how bad her reflux is (in her case instead of 0.7 x 2 it’s now .45 x 3) and that should help keep her symptoms at bay throughout the day and night. Since changing to what he said baby has been less fussy. Just wanted to share so those of you that have a baby with reflux can discuss with your doctor to see if it’ll help your baby.
